This notice explains what personal information Tap&Charge collects through this website, why, who helps us process it and the rights you have. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are

This notice covers this website. When you rent a power bank, the station and the Tap&Charge app show the information that applies to the rental and its payment.

- Enquiries. What you type into the enquiry form: your name, the venue or business, email address, phone number if you give it, the type of venue, the station you are interested in, the town or postcode and your message.
- Analytics, only if you accept. Pages viewed, how you arrived, the device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. See our cookie policy.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of each request (IP address, browser and time) to keep the site secure and working.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and discussing a partnership | Steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries |

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. These suppliers process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
- Resend delivers enquiry form messages to our inbox.
- PostHog provides website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies, and stores the data in the EU.
Vercel and Resend are based in the United States. Where personal information leaves the UK we rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as appropriate.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a partnership: 24 months from our last contact.
- Records of a partnership: the length of the agreement plus 6 years, for accounting and legal claims.
- Analytics data: up to 12 months.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, then deleted automatically.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another organisation in a portable format;
- stop using it where we rely on your consent.
Email sales@tapandcharge.co.uk. We reply within one month and do not charge unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Security, children and changes
